PM directs govt secretaries to make concrete plan to reform governance
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Thursday directed ministers and secretaries to forward the plans that help bring about a development wave in the country. Concrete plans that pave way for development and set records should be brought forth, he underlined.
PM Oli viewed it was essential to bring more systematic plans so that people’s needs would be addressed. The meeting dwelt on annual progress review, implementation of current budget and programmes, and major task of the government to be carried out within 100 days.
National economy could be made dynamic once development expenditure was made 100 percent, he said, adding, “We’re not just employees but working for people’s service and development. We’re working for future generation. It cannot be equated to paid work.”
According to him, time has come to show the performance within three months that outpace previous initiatives. “Don’t get afraid of anti-graft body while dealing with multiple problems and setting development plans. If you do not involve in corruption, the anti-graft body does nothing,” he reminded the senior government officials.
The PM also directed all concerned to effectively enforce Digital Nepal Framework, supply pure goods, foods to people, ensure vocational training, agricultural tools and other essentials to farmers, and utilize the available resources.
