Nepal, China sign eight agreements
Nepal and China on Tuesday signed eight agreements during Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s visit that began on December 8.
The agreements were signed following the delegation level meeting between Oli and his Chinese counterpart Premier Li Qiang in Beijing on December 2. The agreements include the issues related to trade, development, connectivity and other social and political agreements.
An editorial published by China Daily states that Oli’s visit looks set to help open up new prospects for the development of China-Nepal relations by accelerating practical cooperation across the board. Oli has previously visited China twice as Nepal’s prime minister, visits that have marked the advancement of China-Nepal relations.
Despite the changing international and regional landscape over the past decades, bilateral ties have maintained sound and steady growth, setting a fine example of equality and win-win cooperation between countries of different sizes, the editorial says.
