China lists more projects under BRI in Nepal
China has listed more projects under the Belt and Road Initiatives (BRI) in Nepal. Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chen Song has listed Kathmandu Ring Road Phase-2, Hilsa-Simikot Highway, Aranika Highway Upgrading Phase-4, and ICD and ICP at Korala as new batch of BRI projects in Nepal.
In his X Post, the Chinese Ambassador said: A new batch of #BRI projects LOEs, including Kathmandu Ring Road (Phase Ⅱ), Hilsa-Simikot Highway, Araniko Highway Upgrading(Phase IV), ICD & ICP at Korala (Mustang), were signed today by the visiting Vice Chairman of CIDCA China and Secretary of MOF Nepal, witnessed by Hon. DPM. and Minister of Finance Mr. Bishnu Prasad Paudel and me. Congratulations to both teams and both people.
Those projects were signed today by the visited Vice Chairman of CIDCA China and the Secretary of Nepal’s Ministry of Finance. Earlier, last year, China had listed Pokhara International Airport as a BRI project forcing the Nepal government to dismiss China’s claim. Nepal government is stating that no project under BRI has been selected so far.
