Pakistan has announced the suspension of trade, bilateral accords and airspaces with India. The meeting of National Security Committee(NSC) led by Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif discussed the national security environment and the regional situation in the wake of Pahalgam attack.

Pakistan has rejected the Indian announcement to hold the Indus Waters Treaty in abeyance. The Treaty is a binding international agreement brokered by the World Bank and contains no provision for the unilateral suspension, said the decision.

Pakistan has decided to close down the Wagah border post with immediate effect. All cross-border transit from India through this route shall be suspended without exception, the decision says. Additionally, Pakistan has suspended all visas under SAARC visa exemption scheme issued to Indian nationals and deems them cancelled with immediate effect, with the exceptions of Sikh religious pilgrims. Indian nationals currently in Pakistan under the visa have been instructed to exit within 48 hours, less Sikh pilgrims.
